{"id":33852,"date":"2022-12-14T10:08:13","date_gmt":"2022-12-14T10:08:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/welovesalt.com\/au\/jobs\/%wpbb_job_industry%\/subtitle-translation-manager\/"},"modified":"2023-02-12T13:08:08","modified_gmt":"2023-02-12T13:08:08","slug":"subtitle-translation-manager-33852","status":"archive","type":"wpbb_job","link":"https:\/\/welovesalt.com\/au\/jobs\/marketing\/subtitle-translation-manager-33852","title":{"rendered":"Subtitle &amp; Translation Manager"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We have a new role available with a global streaming subscription service!!!<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>This role is for a bilingual candidate in Korean and English, who is a subject matter expert in subtitling and translation, and can assist in two main areas:<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<li>The quality of English subtitles currently on their streaming shows<\/li>\n<li>Assessing the current subtitles they have on their rosters; you will vet, train and guide them<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>You will act as the SME to give the team a sense of where they are in terms of quality in subtitling currently.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>You will need to have cultural sensitivity and understanding of Korea and identify where translators are missing cultural slang, also being globally mindful of British\/American\/Australian English nuances.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>This role is 6 months contracted initially, with the view of review at the 5-month mark for extension or FTE. This opportunity is open to remote workers across Australia but they do have offices in major cities.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>You would be highly suitable for the role if you are\/have:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Speaker of both Korean and English to a native level (IRL Level 5)<\/li>\n<li>Professional linguist with excellent knowledge of grammar, spelling and punctuation and ongoing engagement with the living language<\/li>\n<li>A proven professional record of delivering impeccable work in both any translation field for around five to seven years and subtitling expertise in the home entertainment, broadcast, theatrical and\/or streaming space for ideally three to five years or more<\/li>\n<li>Excitement and awareness about the impact of subtitles on the audience&#8217;s enjoyment of the content<\/li>\n<li>Enhance Time Texted Style Guide according to the most frequent issues found in subtitles and subtitling tools knowledge (e.g. WinCAPS, Ooona, Swift, Spot, EZ Titles)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you are interested in the opportunity, then please apply down below and I will be in touch!<\/p>\n<p>Salt is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/counter.adcourier.com\/YXNhbHRvcy40ODQ4Ny4xMDc3NEBzYWx0LmFwbGl0cmFrLmNvbQ.gif\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We have a new role available with a global streaming subscription service!!!
