You will be working in an Agile team, responsible for the development of new software products to be rolled out across NSW as part of a large uplift in digitalisation. You should excel in working with large-scale applications and frameworks and have outstanding hands-on coding, and leadership skills.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Writing clean, high-quality, high-performance, maintainable code.<\/li>\n<li>End-to-end product development, including the build, release, maintenance and enhancement of product.<\/li>\n<li>Working cross functionally with product teams and key stakeholders.<\/li>\n<li>Provide technical expertise to advise on the quality of product solution design, participating in discovery process with product teams.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate cross-functionally to insure project meets business objectives and compliance standards<\/li>\n<li>Support test and deployment of new products and features<\/li>\n<li>Participate in code reviews<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key skills and Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Extensive experience with latest versions of backend technologies (Java, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Kotlin), along with testing frameworks (Mockito, RestAssured and JUnit 5)<\/li>\n<li>Extensive experience with latest versions of frontend technologies (React), with test tools like Jest or Jasmine.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of end to end testing frameworks (TestCafe and Cypress).<\/li>\n<li>Experience in Test Driven Development is critical.<\/li>\n<li>Hands-on experience with setting up CI\/CD pipelines and best practises.<\/li>\n<li>Open to a pair-programming environment, previous experience in pair programming highly desirable.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated experience in application architecture and\/or software development within an Agile\/DevOps environment.<\/li>\n<li>Experience\/exposure to working in mobile development.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Computer Science (or related field)<\/li>\n<li>6+ years of relevant work experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Salt is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/counter.adcourier.com\/emJ1cmdlc3MuMDkyMTQuMTA3NzRAc2FsdC5hcGxpdHJhay5jb20.gif\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NEW opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer to join a NSW Government Department, working on the payments platform that is critical across the state.
