You&#8217;ll join a close-knit design community with regular opportunities to share ideas and collaborate.<\/p>\n<p>The working arrangements are hybrid, with 2-3 days a week in the Melbourne office.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>About the Role:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Inclusive Design is a huge focus for the bank, and this newly created role will be instrumental in their mission to bake accessibility and inclusion into the design process.<\/p>\n<p>Reporting to the Executive Design Director in Digital and working closely with the Design Systems team, you&#8217;ll champion accessibility and inclusive design across all digital platforms.<\/p>\n<p>You&#8217;ll influence and educate team members, steering accessibility policy within the organisation, attending design briefs on multiple projects, working with external bodies and presenting at events.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead the design process to ensure inclusivity in all digital banking products and services, catering to diverse customer needs, including those with disabilities<\/li>\n<li>Conduct extensive user research and usability testing with diverse user groups to gather insights for improving accessibility and user experience<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed inclusive design principles across the organisation and advocate for accessibility in all projects<\/li>\n<li>Educate and train internal teams on the importance of accessibility and inclusive design<\/li>\n<li>Conduct regular accessibility audits of digital content and interfaces, and collaborate with technology teams for remediation<\/li>\n<li>Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in accessibility and implement innovative solutions to enhance user experience<\/li>\n<li>Engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels to communicate the importance and impact of inclusive design and incorporate their feedback into design processes<\/li>\n<li>Develop and advise on accessibility guidelines in line with current standards and legal requirements<\/li>\n<li>Monitor, analyse, and report on the effectiveness of accessibility initiatives, driving continuous improvement<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Your Skills &amp; Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>8+ years of experience in digital design, with a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in aesthetic, inclusive, and accessible design<\/li>\n<li>In-depth knowledge of WCAG 2.2 guidelines and experience applying them to complex digital experiences<\/li>\n<li>Proven experience leading design projects and collaborating with large, multidisciplinary teams, preferably in large corporations<\/li>\n<li>Strong presentation and persuasion skills, with the ability to articulate the value of inclusive design to various stakeholders<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in design and prototyping tools, along with familiarity with front-end development practices and their impact on accessibility<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Benefits:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Champion accessibility and inclusive design across all digital platforms<\/li>\n<li>Influence, educate and lead the team towards positive change<\/li>\n<li>Advocate for inclusivity and accessibility for all<\/li>\n<li>Join a large, mature design practice<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with some of Melbourne&#8217;s best design talent<\/li>\n<li>Option to present at industry events<\/li>\n<li>Excellent work \/ life balance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If this sounds like you, please apply now or email your CV\/folio to jcorner@welovesalt.com<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Acknowledgement of Country<\/p>\n<p>Salt respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the lands across Australia as the continuing custodians of country and culture.
