This role involves writing and maintaining automation test code, reducing issues in production, and collaborating with various teams to solve challenging business problems. You&#8217;ll leverage your deep expertise in testing methodologies, automation, and cloud technologies to build and maintain a robust testing infrastructure.<\/p>\n<h2>Responsibilities:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead and contribute to the development of comprehensive test strategies and plans.<\/li>\n<li>Write and maintain code in TypeScript for automation tests, using Playwright<\/li>\n<li>Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts using TypeScript and Node.js.<\/li>\n<li>Implement and execute various testing methodologies, including Test-Driven Development (TDD).<\/li>\n<li>Utilize testing frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, and Selenium to automate UI and end-to-end tests.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure adherence to software security principles and best practices, including OWASP guidelines.<\/li>\n<li>Integrate automated tests into CI\/CD pipelines and work with DevOps tooling.<\/li>\n<li>Utilize AWS infrastructure and services (Lambda, EC2, EKS, SQS, RDS) for testing and deployment.<\/li>\n<li>Work with SQL databases, particularly Postgres, for data validation and testing.<\/li>\n<li>Use API development and test tools (Newman, Postman, SOAP UI) for API testing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Required Skills and Experience:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>5+ years of experience as a Software Test Engineer.<\/li>\n<li>Proven commercial experience with TypeScript and Node.js.<\/li>\n<li>Expertise in testing methodologies, TDD, and frameworks (Playwright).<\/li>\n<li>Experience designing and developing automation, integration, and performance testing platforms.<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of software security principles and best practices, including OWASP.<\/li>\n<li>Experience using cloud device farms (BrowserStack, AWS Device Farm).<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with CI\/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with AWS infrastructure and services (Lambda, EC2, EKS, SQS, RDS).<\/li>\n<li>Experience with SQL databases, particularly Postgres.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with API development and test tools (Newman, Postman, SOAP UI).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Should you have the required experience in a software test environment please apply below.<\/p>\n<h2>How to Apply:<\/h2>\n<p>To apply online, please click on the link below!<\/p>\n<p>Alternatively, for a confidential discussion, please contact Jimmy Flynn on 0488 732 269 if you are based in Australia, or DC on 0225 005 159 if you are based in New Zealand.<\/p>\n<p>To discuss other similar <a href=\"https:\/\/welovesalt.com\/au\/jobs\/job-industry\/technology\/\">Tech roles in Sydney<\/a>, please reach out to us.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>We&#8217;re proud to have won the Best Mid-Sized Recruitment Company to Work For at the 2023 TIARA Recruitment Awards, and to have been finalists, for the second year in a row, in the Client Service and Recruitment Leader of the Year categories!
