Salt has partnered with a global quantitative trading firm that is looking for a Python Software Engineer. You will join Trading Systems team and will have the chance to work closely with traders and the firm’s top technologists.<\/p>\n

As a Software Developer you will be developing and enhancing trading applications by designing, implementing, and delivering complex software systems that meet the business needs.<\/p>\n

Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n
• Develop, maintain and deploy analytical tools (Python) that will directly influence trading strategies;<\/li>\n
• Solve complex problems by providing innovative and scalable solutions with a focus on high frequency and low latency automated trading;<\/li>\n
• Bring\/gain a thorough understanding of the business domain (trading, strategies, market making, market data and low latency);<\/li>\n
• Performance-tune existing applications and processes, improve existing codebases and data flows to allow for efficient processing of large data sets.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  <\/strong><\/p>\n

  Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n

  \n
  • 5+ years of software development experience;<\/li>\n
  • Experience in capital markets or electronic trading working with either options, futures or derivatives is a must;<\/li>\n
  • Experience with the Python data science stack: NumPy, Pandas;<\/li>\n
  • Experience with numeric data storage methodologies, e.g., hdf5;<\/li>\n
  • Experience of working in a Linux environment;<\/li>\n
  • Strong knowledge in computer networking;<\/li>\n
  • Ability to understand financial models and mathematical algorithms;<\/li>\n
  • Experience or interest in areas such as capital markets, probability, game theory and the application of IT solutions to these areas is a plus.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
