{"id":80663,"date":"2025-06-20T02:43:57","date_gmt":"2025-06-20T01:43:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/welovesalt.com\/au\/jobs\/%wpbb_job_industry%\/system-engineer"},"modified":"2025-06-20T02:43:58","modified_gmt":"2025-06-20T01:43:58","slug":"system-engineer-80663","status":"publish","type":"wpbb_job","link":"https:\/\/welovesalt.com\/au\/jobs\/technology\/system-engineer-80663","title":{"rendered":"System Engineer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>System Engineer &#8211; DevOps Focus<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>Join a global, ASX listed organisation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>3-month contract, potential for long-term extensions<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>$650 \/ day<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Salt has partnered with an Australian owned and operated, ASX-listed corporate bookmaker offering sports and racing betting, iGaming, on scalable cloud-based tech platform.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re actively interviewing candidates for an ASAP start 3-month contract engagement to join the business&#8217;s corporate technology division as a System Engineer.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re looking for a <strong>Systems Engineer<\/strong> with strong DevOps experience to help manage, automate, and secure our cloud and on-prem environments.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Administer and support infrastructure across VMware, Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy<\/li>\n<li>Manage and optimise Intune environments (co-managed via MSP) for both Windows and Mac devices<\/li>\n<li>Maintain secure, redundant, and well-documented systems and backup strategies<\/li>\n<li>Write and maintain custom automation scripts to reduce manual tasks and increase efficiency<\/li>\n<li>Support and maintain Office 365 and Azure Active Directory environments<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate user account management (onboarding, offboarding, changes)<\/li>\n<li>Assist in monthly patching, server maintenance, and broader system improvement projects<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to BAU support and automation initiatives across cloud and infrastructure<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required Experience and Key Skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Proven experience in systems administration and DevOps-focused automation<\/li>\n<li>Strong scripting capability (PowerShell, Python, or similar)<\/li>\n<li>Experience managing Intune in a mixed-device environment<\/li>\n<li>Good understanding of cloud services (Azure a must; AWS nice to have)<\/li>\n<li>A proactive mindset &#8211; someone who looks to improve processes, not just maintain them<\/li>\n<li>Ability to balance BAU work with project-based improvements<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Benefits:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hybrid working model: On-site in Richmond 2 days \/ week<\/li>\n<li>Work with the latest versions of technologies; Microsoft 365 \/ Azure AD, Windows Server &amp; some MacOS, VMware, Intune MDM, Fortinet firewalls, Azure, with some AWS.<\/li>\n<li>Potential for long-term engagement beyond the initial 3-month engagement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Apply now, or share CV to <strong>zburgess@welovesalt.com<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Acknowledgement of Country<\/p>\n<p>Salt respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the lands across Australia as the continuing custodians of country and culture.
