Salt are recruiting for a Lead Backend Engineer on behalf of one of the UK’s leading health-tech companies who’ve delivered 2.2 million digital healthcare visits as well as medication to over 450 million people globally.<\/p>\n

You’ll be joining a team that consists of two Computer Science University of Cambridge grads, one ex-VP at JP Morgan and the other ex-Credit Suisse. They have an amazing engineering team who have come from the likes of Booking.com, Tripadvisor & Smarkets – the bar is high here.<\/p>\n
As a Lead Backend Engineer you’ll be providing architectural leadership and hands-on engineering contributions with a focus on tackling complex technical tasks on greenfield development projects – as well as being a driving force to build upon the excellent engineering culture across the company.<\/p>\n
They are looking for people who have expert knowledge as a contributor using their tech stack – Java11+, Spring Boot, Microservices, AWS, CI\/CD, Postgres. If you want to work across the frontend they use React.js, but this isn’t essential.<\/p>\n
For this Lead Back End Engineer position they are paying upto 130,000 + equity (worth 40% of base salary) + 33 days holiday + health insurance + 3% pension + 40% gym discount + free Kindle, books and HeadSpace.<\/p>\n
As a flexible employer they’re happy with people who either are based in the UK but want to work fully remote, or prefer coming into to work in their London HQ – it’s up to you!<\/p>\n
