Manufacturing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>IT\/OT Integration Engineer (Project Delivery) &#8211; Manufacturing Integration &#8211; Glasglow Remote working available.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Duration: 12 months<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rate: Flexible (INSIDE OF IR35)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Location: Scotland (with flexibility for occasional remote work and ad hoc site visits)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Industry: Manufacturing \/ FMCG<\/p>\n<p>Employment Type: Contract \/ Freelance<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>About the Role<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We are working on a major global initiative that bridges the gap between Operational Technology (OT) and Enterprise IT systems across a diverse and evolving manufacturing landscape.<\/p>\n<p>This role sits at the intersection of <strong>engineering, project delivery, and technology integration.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You will lead complex IT\/OT integration projects, working hands-on with site teams to connect plant-level systems into enterprise infrastructure &#8211; all while ensuring stakeholder alignment, risk mitigation, and practical on-the-ground execution.<\/p>\n<p>This role is ideal for someone with deep technical knowledge, strong project leadership, and experience navigating the challenges of real-world manufacturing environments.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead the end-to-end delivery of IT\/OT integration projects across global manufacturing sites.<\/li>\n<li>Act as the bridge between engineering, IT, cybersecurity, and site operations.<\/li>\n<li>Assess, design, and implement solutions that integrate control systems, sensors, MES, and other OT assets into enterprise networks.<\/li>\n<li>Adapt solutions to a wide range of equipment vintages, from legacy systems to modern infrastructures.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure practical deployment by working closely with site teams, technicians, and engineers.<\/li>\n<li>Manage stakeholder relationships across multiple business units and geographies.<\/li>\n<li>Identify and manage risks, dependencies, and constraints throughout the project lifecycle.<\/li>\n<li>Support conversations around cybersecurity standards (e.g., IEC 62443), ensuring compliance and best practice without being the SME.<\/li>\n<li>Provide budget insight, project reporting, and resource planning as needed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Technical Experience<\/li>\n<li>Proven experience in IT\/OT convergence projects in manufacturing, FMCG, or process industries.<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of networking, control systems, PLC\/SCADA, and MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems).<\/li>\n<li>Exposure to continuous process plants, packaging environments, or hazardous area installations is highly advantageous.<\/li>\n<li>Working knowledge of cybersecurity in industrial environments and awareness of IEC 62443 or similar standards.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Project Management<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience managing full project lifecycles &#8211; from concept through to deployment and post-go-live support.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to balance technical complexity with business needs and practical constraints.<\/li>\n<li>Strong stakeholder engagement and cross-functional leadership skills.<\/li>\n<li>Budget awareness and ability to operate within cost and schedule constraints.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Background<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>10+ years of experience preferred; open to 5+ years for high-potential candidates with strong hands-on exposure.<\/li>\n<li>Started in a technical or trade-based role (e.g., instrumentation tech, controls engineer) and progressed into project or managerial roles.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in regulated environments such as pharmaceutical, energy, oil &amp; gas, or nuclear is a strong asset.<\/li>\n<li>Evidence of self-development and a commitment to continuous learning.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Soft Skills &amp; Attributes<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Practical, hands-on thinker &#8211; not just theoretical.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communicator who can drive conversations between technical and non-technical stakeholders.<\/li>\n<li>Risk-aware, methodical, and delivery-focused.<\/li>\n<li>Adaptable to diverse and evolving environments with a balance of ambition and realism.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Location &amp;
