Head of Brand & Events

Salt is proud to collaborate once again with a Financial Services Giant as they seek to hire a highly commercial, strategic marketing leader to join their UK Marketing team on an immediate starting, 10 month contract placement.

In this exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, experienced strategic marketing professional to lead the brand and events functions through a commercial lens, and deliver against all business, brand and events goals, whilst effectively partnering with various cross-functional teams.

Managing a team of 5 experts in Brand & Events, you will develop and drive growth within this space and commercial impact strategies for the UK market. Driving performance across an events programme, delivering brand and campaign activations and supporting with fuelling ROI across brand and event activities, this role will effectively support in pushing business results and engagement with their core audiences.

Key Role Requirements:

  • Lead the Brand and Events annual strategy to drive the broader business and commercial strategy.
  • Support the team with building the brand and events 2024 plan, ensuring that it effectively supports their core audience and aligns to the marketing strategy.
  • Lead the UK brand campaign planning process to ensure the brand strategy and creative aligns to the business and brand vision as well as the Global brand direction
  • Direct the team on fast learning cycles and testing to continuously improve growth outcomes
  • Actively review performance on a weekly basis and actively analyse data and identify insights for improvement.
  • Provide clear and relevant performance insights to stakeholders to help inform strategies, plans, and tactics on an on-going basis.
  • Partner with Global Brand Research and local analytics teams to develop measures and targets to enable the team to assess progress against the business vision, brand, product and marketing goals.

Key Skills:

  • Circa 10 years of marketing experience, including prior management in building and leading teams, driving commercial business impact, informing brand strategy and creative development, campaign ownership and performance analysis across marketing activity
  • Ability to build out a brand strategy that drives business and brand results and engages with core audiences.
  • Experienced in brand funnel and perception tracking, as well as experience in assessing performance of creative executions
  • Strong communication skills and ability to effectively pitch a local market brand agenda to global stakeholders via leveraged data and insights.
  • Proven stakeholder management experience, developing successful integrated campaigns that deliver business results.
  • Experienced in planning events end-to-end from initial strategic conception all the way through to analysis of event performance and collaboration with the sales team to determine the commercial impact
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear examples of using data actively for customer insights, measurement, ROI analysis and recommendations
  • Ability to effectively influence team members within a cross-functional, fast-moving environment – experienced working with global teams is a plus
  • Experience in end-to-end delivery of high-impact multi-channel marketing campaigns across digital and offline channels
