Programme Test Manager – Banking – Brussels

Day rate: €600 – €900

Duration: 12 months

Hybrid: 4 days per month on site in Brussels

My banking client is looking for a Programme Test Manager to join the Testing community to :

▪ Manage extensive testing activities/operations

▪ Direct several test leaders and a large number of software testers

▪ Coordinate numerous teams contributing to the testing activities/operations

▪ Be responsible of formulating projects/programmes (global) test strategies and tests planning & launches/activation

Your main tasks

▪ Define the global testing, launch and activation strategy for the implementation of a programme or a set of projects.

▪ Coordinate the execution of the testing activities (spread across a large number of teams) for the implementation of a programme or a set of projects. Manage the impediments that may occur.

▪ Engage with internal stakeholders in various areas of the organisation to seek alignment and

collaboration. Deal with external stakeholders/Vendors

▪ Responsible for meeting project/programme objectives within quality, time, and budget targets, and for managing associated risks (for the what concerns the testing part)

▪ Has a direct and controlling impact on the results of testing for a specific area of the

organisation, contributing to the fact that there is no disruption to mission critical business

services in this area and maintaining a clear competitive advantage for the company

▪ Decision-making involves the use of judgement within the scope of the defined strategy

Qualifications – Internal : Technical skills

* At least 10 years of experience working with Testing

* Test management experience in handling cross functional multi-platform projects also requiring the coordination of a large number of teams

* Very good analysis & investigation skills; ability to break down complex problems and develop

solutions

* Proven experience to effectively delegate tasks and responsibilities while maintaining overall control

* Experience with off shoring

* Good business knowledge of any business domain (EB Settlement, Collateral Mgt, Cash and Banking or Asset Servicing) is an asset

Soft skills

* Clients focused and result oriented

* Fluent in English (both written and oral)

* Able to learn quickly in a complex environment and to synthesize the situation

* Assertive to drive tasks to completion
