Senior Data Strategist – Global Automotive Client

£55000 - £75000.00 per annum

Senior Data Strategist

Award Winning Creative Communications Agency

Global Automotive Client

Salary: £55k – £75k

Location: North London

We are hiring for this first SME Data Strategist to join one of the most prolific, and decorated creative comms agencies in the UK.

Sitting at around 300 people, the agency is of a size where you don’t lost, still have a voice whilst also have the stability and support of a vibrant and high performing community around you.

You’ll report into the Managing Partner for one of their most high profile, global automotive clients, where you’ll spend 50% – 60% of your time. You’ll deliver insights and analytics around multi-channel campaign performance (ATL and digital primarily) to enable improved decision making around trading and sales for this much-loved car manufacturer.

Given this is a brand new role, there is an element of flexibility and freedom, as you’ll have the chance to come into the agency and establish yourself as the ‘go to’ expert in data. You’ll build measurement and analytics frameworks around campaign performance, work with internal stakeholders in strategy to help steer digital content using insights, as well as identifying future opportunities for data led projects.

Fundamentally the role is focused on generating insights to improve sales for the client through evaluating campaign performance, but you’ll also need to provide context to this through conducting competitor analysis and deep dives around the customer too – given the relationship the agency has with this client, you’ll have access to all their customer and sales data.

Technically, you’ll need foundational skills in SQL,and ideally you will be a whizz with statistical programming tools such as R and Python, coupled with the ability to visualise data using tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik etc.

However, the strategic thinking piece is equally as important; being able to apply a commercial lens to the trends and results you find, and translating these into plans and recommendations around improvement in marketing activity and customer engagement; thus resulting in increased sales is key.

Skills & Experience Required:

§ Educated to degree level a numerate or relative subject

§ A strong background in analytics and/or data strategy or decision science

§ Skilled in SQL for data extraction and manipulation, ideally having also working with R or Python for more advanced analysis

§ A passion for all things customer insights and marketing analytics, with skills in reporting on marketing campaign performance

§ You’ll be highly organised and comfortable working within a fast-paced, multifacted team

§ You’ll be entrepreneurial with the ability to identify and promote new opportunities

§ You’ll be a strong verbal communicator with the proven ability to build robust relationships and present ideas confidently with colleagues and clients at all levels

§ Understanding of statistical techniques marketing (e.g. testing, response analysis, evaluation of ROI)

§ Intellectually curious with a strong eye for detail and a proactive and flexible approach

§ A creative thinker and data story teller, an ability to bring data to life for colleagues and clients alike
