Reporting into the lead Cyber security Architect the role of the Cyber Security Officer is to:
- Support monitoring of access to IT facilities or infrastructure investigating unauthorised access,compliance with data protection and performance ofother administrative duties relating to security management.
- They will take responsibility for the delivery of all Cyber Security practices.
Required Experience
- knowledge of monitoring tools and the ability to configure and use the reporting and auditing facilities
- Practical experience of using Network/Internet audit/monitoring software tools
- Knowledge of security issues relating to hardware and software, with experience of the Microsoft technology stack.
- Knowledge and skills in the use of network and database security tools
- Understanding of ISO27001 and other information security best practice standards
- Knowledge of storage area network (SAN) security
- Knowledge of cloud security
- Knowledge of patch management
- Knowledge of application security
- Ability to apply security policy in practice
- Ability to use a range of security tools
- Ability to pragmatically apply security standards to enable business outcomes
- Ability to manage and mitigate identified risks
Desirable is CISSP or similar Cyber qualification
