This position will primarily focus on providing independent assessments and recommendations to the Audit and Risk Committee and the Board of Directors.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Act as liaison between the Company and the Committee to ensure the governance processes are in line with the governance framework and is operating as intended.<\/li>\n<li>Evaluate the Company&#8217;s financial statements (annual and interim) for completeness, consistency with known information and compliance with international accounting principles and standards.<\/li>\n<li>Review audit engagements with Executive Management and external auditors, addressing audit difficulties, scope restrictions, and any substantial audit-related amendments.<\/li>\n<li>Evaluate and understand the organization&#8217;s business strategy to determine key risks, including emerging and systemic risks.<\/li>\n<li>Independently assess the identification and management of these risks within the organization, in line with compliance frameworks and practices.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.<\/li>\n<li>Professional certification such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and active membership in a relevant professional association is required.<\/li>\n<li>12 &#8211; 15 years of proven experience in in internal auditing, risk assessment, and control evaluation.<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of corporate governance standards, audit methodologies, and best practices.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.<\/li>\n<li>Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.<\/li>\n<li>Attention to detail and accuracy.<\/li>\n<li>Strong organizational and project management abilities.<\/li>\n<li>Ethical and confidential approach to work.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in audit software and data analysis tools is a plus.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Reporting Structure:<\/strong> The Internal Audit Director reports directly to the Audit and Risk Committee<\/p>\n<p>Salt is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Job Overview The Internal Auditor will play a crucial role in assessing and ensuring the effectiveness of our internal control systems, risk management processes, and compliance with corporate governance standards.
