He\/she will collaborate with Data Scientists, Product teams and business stakeholders to transform business requirements into efficient and reliable solutions.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop and maintain data Lakehouse solutions leveraging Google BigQuery and Vertex AI, optimized for performance, cost-effectiveness, and advanced analytics.<\/li>\n<li>Lead the Design and development of robust data pipelines (streaming, batch, API endpoints) for efficient data collection, transformation, and analysis.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure data solutions are secure and compliant with industry regulations, supporting detailed reporting and self-service analytics.<\/li>\n<li>Implement best practices for data quality, consistency, and integrity across the entire data infrastructure.<\/li>\n<li>Establish monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks to ensure data pipeline reliability and performance.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical data solutions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A tertiary level qualification from an internationally\/regionally recognized institution<\/li>\n<li>Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer certification.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Years &amp; Nature of Experience: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Recommended 8 to 10 years of equivalent experience in designing and implementing data pipelines using Google Cloud or other public cloud platforms.<\/li>\n<li>Deep expertise in Google Cloud technologies such as BigQuery, Data Fusion, DataForm, DataFlow, Cloud Composer, DataPlex, Dataproc, Analytics Hub etc.<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of data governance principles, including security, compliance, and privacy by design.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Salt is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>JOB PURPOSE The role is responsible to design, build and maintain the data pipelines and tools that support democratizing data across the organization to enable data driven decision making.
