This role includes delivering high-quality instruction in courses related to public health, healthcare systems, epidemiology, health promotion, medical research, and other health-related topics. The lecturer will also engage in curriculum development, student mentoring, and academic research in the field.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Teaching and Course Delivery<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop and deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and tutorials in health science-related subjects.<\/li>\n<li>Plan, prepare, and update course materials (syllabi, reading lists, lectures, etc.).<\/li>\n<li>Create, administer, and grade assessments (exams, quizzes, assignments, and projects).<\/li>\n<li>Provide feedback to students on academic performance and guide them toward academic success.<\/li>\n<li>Foster an interactive learning environment that encourages student participation and inquiry.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Research and Scholarship<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conduct and contribute to academic research in the field of health science.<\/li>\n<li>Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at academic conferences.<\/li>\n<li>Pursue and apply for funding for research projects in health science areas.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with colleagues, research institutions, and healthcare organizations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Student Support<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide academic advising and support to students.<\/li>\n<li>Mentor and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students on their academic projects and dissertations.<\/li>\n<li>Offer guidance on career development and opportunities in the health science field.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Administrative Duties<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Contribute to departmental and institutional initiatives and meetings.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in the development and review of academic programs and curricula.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with student recruitment, orientation, and retention efforts.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain accurate records of student performance, grades, and attendance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications and Requirements<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Educational Qualifications<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A minimum of a Master&#8217;s degree in Health Science, Public Health, Medical Sciences, Nursing, or a related field (PhD preferred).<\/li>\n<li>A teaching qualification (e.g., PGCHE) or willingness to obtain one is an advantage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Experience<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Previous teaching experience in higher education or relevant professional experience in the healthcare field is preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in academic research with published works is advantageous.<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with various teaching methods, including online and blended learning.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skills and Competencies<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong verbal and written communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to develop and deliver educational content effectively.<\/li>\n<li>Strong organizational and time-management skills.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency with educational technologies and software.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Personal Attributes<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Passion for teaching and academic development.<\/li>\n<li>A strong commitment to student success and well-being.<\/li>\n<li>Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>*** Only successful candidates will be contacted ***<\/p>\n<p>Salt is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Do you want to relocate to Abu Dhabi, UAE?
