This role will oversee policies, standards, and processes for data quality, data stewardship, and regulatory compliance. Working closely with business and technology stakeholders, the manager will drive a culture of accountability and enable the business to maximize the value of its data assets.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop and implement the enterprise <strong>data governance strategy<\/strong>, framework, and policies.<\/li>\n<li>Define and enforce <strong>data ownership, stewardship, and accountability models<\/strong> across business units.<\/li>\n<li>Establish and monitor <strong>data quality standards, KPIs, and reporting mechanisms<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with <strong>regulatory and industry requirements<\/strong> (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, ISO).<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with IT, Security, and Business teams to ensure <strong>data lifecycle management<\/strong> (collection, storage, usage, retention, and disposal).<\/li>\n<li>Chair data governance councils\/committees and drive decision-making on data-related initiatives.<\/li>\n<li>Oversee data cataloging, metadata management, and data lineage practices.<\/li>\n<li>Support data-driven initiatives such as analytics, AI\/ML, and digital transformation by ensuring <strong>trusted and well-governed data<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Skills &amp; Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>7+ years of experience in <strong>data governance, data management, or information governance<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Proven experience in <strong>establishing enterprise data governance programs<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of <strong>data quality management, metadata management, and master data management (MDM)<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of <strong>regulatory and compliance requirements<\/strong> related to data.<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with data governance tools (Collibra, Informatica Axon, Alation, etc.).<\/li>\n<li>Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to bridge business and technical perspectives to enable effective governance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Certifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>DAMA Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP)<\/li>\n<li>Data Governance and Stewardship Professional (DGSP)<\/li>\n<li>ISO\/IEC 38505 Data Governance Certification<\/li>\n<li>TOGAF \/ COBIT (advantageous for governance frameworks)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Salt is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Role Overview: The Data Governance Manager will be responsible for establishing and managing the organization&#8217;s data governance framework to ensure the availability, accuracy, integrity, and security of enterprise data.
