My client is a successful global brand based in South Auckland. They have an excellent brand reputation built on reliability and performance.
Due to some organisational changes, they are currently looking for a qualified Financial Controller or Finance Manager to lead their New Zealand finance function and deliver excellent timely financial reporting along with partnering with the NZ General manager and broader business to bring the numbers to life and translating information into commercial outcomes and insights.
The Financial Controller will report to the ANZ Head of Finance based in Melbourne but retains a strong dotted line reporting into the NZ General Manager. This role will initially be supported by a small team and will require the Financial Controller to enjoy working across a finance function, be comfortable rolling their sleeves up and being hands on across the function.
Key skills and experience required in the role are:
· Lead financial reporting and budgeting
· Ensuring compliance with tax and financial standards
· Maintain strong financial controls
· Manage cashflow and assess any financial risks
· Partner with Senior Management across insights and providing organisational financial leadership
About you:
· CA or CPA qualified
· Strong technical accounting skills
· Ideally 4-6 years New Zealand experience
· Excellent communication and relationship building skills
· Strong technology skills with ERP’s and Microsoft package
· Some experience managing a small team – mentoring and coaching
