Digital Engagement Advisor

We are currently on the lookout for a vibrant, motivated and talented Digital Engagement Advisor for our Wellington-based Client (Government Sector). This role is to provide digital marketing services, channel support, and website administration. You will be a creative, solutions-focused person who will be responsible for developing and delivering digital content and ensuring that the brand is applied consistently across materials, channels, products, and activities, online and offline.

Key Responsibilities

Channel support

  • Ensure channels (website, newsletters, publications, programmes, products, social media, and event collateral) are delivered and maintained
  • Work with the Manager, Communications & Engagement and other colleagues to deliver newsletters, briefings, reports, and other publications
  • Monitor social media channels and deliver social media messages
  • Monitor campaign, newsletter, and social media analytics

Websites

  • Ensure websites are maintained and administered, ensuring visual relevance and consistency, a per agreed band guidelines. This involves administering content and building pages for new content when required
  • Monitor website measurement analytics and provide reports as required

Brand Management

· Ensure the consistent application of the brand across all channels, products and activities

· Provide best practice advice on management of the brand, including involvement in brand refreshes and brand campaigns

· Liaise with print suppliers to produce printed material, as required

Personal Requirements for the role

· Excellent technical knowledge of website platforms and website best-practice

· A good working knowledge of web design techniques, principles and user experience

· Awareness of current web, design, and digital marketing best-practice

· One – three years’ experience in website administration, or design, or digital marketing

· Excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work to tight deadlines

· Good written and oral communication skills

· Ability to show initiative

· Excellent people skills with the ability to develop and maintain constructive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders

· A general knowledge of how local government and the public sector works would be helpful, but not essential
