This is to work across a very large, fully funded, years long programme of work.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Great opportunity to work with the new generation of high-performance real time parallel Data Warehousing and Big Data Solutions.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Come and join one of the largest Data Science practices in New Zealand, with 90 other &#8216;unicorns&#8217; within the data and analytics team. Work from home 3 days a week (once they&#8217;re back in the office) and have good flexibility within that.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><strong style=\"font-size: 11px;color: black\">Role Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead the technical design, development and implementation of robust Data Science and Artificial Intelligence capabilities <\/li>\n<li>Create, train and deploy predictive analytics models that help solve real world problems<\/li>\n<li>Deploying on an Azure data platform <\/li>\n<li>Work closely with your Data Engineer to help deliver projects towards the larger programme of work<\/li>\n<li>Provide strategic advice and recommendations to the stakeholders and develop and maintain state-of-the-art statistical and machine learning models.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong style=\"font-size: 11px;color: black\">Required Skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong experience in building and deploying predictive analytics models using machine learning techniques<\/li>\n<li>Experience in developing class-leading algorithms to drive commercial outcomes <\/li>\n<li>Excellent knowledge in applied statistics, distributions, statistical testing, data mining, feature engineering, model interpretability, machine learning &amp; deep learning models<\/li>\n<li>Excellent coding skills using common data science toolkits including Python<\/li>\n<li>Experience with Azure, Data Factory and Databricks are highly advantageous!!<\/li>\n<li>Proven commercial experience in statistical and machine learning modelling, with experience manipulating and &#8216;making sense&#8217; of big data from disparate systems<\/li>\n<li>Independent &#8211; can work on your own with little guidance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If this is something that interests you, reach out to me at rjee@welovesalt.com or Apply below!<\/p>\n<p>Salt is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/counter.adcourier.com\/cmplZS44NDIxMS4xMDc3M0BzYWx0LmFwbGl0cmFrLmNvbQ.gif\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Data Scientist | Contract | 12 months | Hybrid\/Flex working My client, a government organisation, is looking for a Senior Data Scientist to help them solve some complex problems to better automate their services.
