Salt is hiring an ‘International Tax Manager’<\/strong> primarily be responsible for managing tax planning, compliance and controversy in our region. This will involve driving tax initiatives and technology, reviewing tax processes, helping with tax audits in the region and supporting the business teams in tax matters. This role will collaborate and work closely with the indirect tax team, accounting and other finance and business functions.<\/p>\n

This is a contractual role here in Singapore.<\/p>\n

Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h2>\n

\n
• Maintain oversight and co-ordination of tax compliance activities outsourced to external service providers in the Asia Pacific region, including the review of tax returns and tax forecast calculations, as well as technical analysis in support of statutory audit<\/li>\n
• Ensure transfer pricing obligations (e.g. documentation) are fulfilled under local transfer pricings laws and regulations<\/li>\n
• Provide tax advisory and project management support on ad hoc tax projects as assigned. This can include tax treaty applications and responding to internal and external tax queries<\/li>\n
• Assist and manage tax audits in the region<\/li>\n
• Integrate processes and technologies to enhance efficiency and quality of tax processes<\/li>\n
• Work with the Head of Tax to support the business teams in any tax issues<\/li>\n
• Establish a strong relationship with the regional business teams, finance, legal, policy leaders<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  Minimum Qualifications<\/strong><\/h2>\n

  \n
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Law<\/li>\n
  • 10 to 15 years of relevant APAC tax experience – tax compliance, transfer pricing, tax advisory and tax controversy<\/li>\n
  • Technologically savvy<\/li>\n
  • Strong analytical, organization, documentation, research and project management skills<\/li>\n
  • Ability to simplify and communicate complex business \/ tax information<\/li>\n
  • Ability to work as a team and interact with personnel at all levels of the organization (including cross-border teams)<\/li>\n
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, meticulous, and ability to work independently in a high-pressure environment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Preferred Qualifications<\/strong><\/h2>\n

    • Preferably with both commercial experience and exposure in Big 4 Accounting firm<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
