{"id":128670,"date":"2025-04-03T14:57:14","date_gmt":"2025-04-03T13:57:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/welovesalt.com\/sg\/jobs\/%wpbb_job_industry%\/payroll-specialist"},"modified":"2025-06-03T12:23:41","modified_gmt":"2025-06-03T11:23:41","slug":"payroll-specialist-128670","status":"archive","type":"wpbb_job","link":"https:\/\/welovesalt.com\/sg\/jobs\/human-resources\/payroll-specialist-128670","title":{"rendered":"Payroll Specialist"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Salt is hiring a &#8216;Payroll Specialist&#8217; who would own all operational aspects across Japan, India, Thailand and Philippines and is perfect for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and is eager to continually evolve and innovate the way we conduct business.<\/p>\n<p>The ideal candidate is someone with a natural intellectual curiosity, robust analytical skills, and a strong desire to drive improvements while simplifying processes.<\/p>\n<h2><strong style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif\">Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Responsible for monthly payroll activities, collating and validating inputs and statutory payments for assigned countries.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate with payroll vendors for timely and accurate payments and filing of taxes, social security funds, and any other third-party payments related to payroll.<\/li>\n<li>Manage payroll vendors and ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Managed payroll inquiries from internal and external stakeholders through the internal ticketing system and provide advice.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in and support new process implementations or enhancements and perform user acceptance testing, including vendor transitions.<\/li>\n<li>Update and maintain the workflow for the assigned countries.<\/li>\n<li>Own and drive process improvement initiatives for assigned countries.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif\">Requirements<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s degree in accounting or related field.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 5 years&#8217; experience in payroll processing\/operations with accounting knowledge.<\/li>\n<li>Expertise in end-to-end payroll, including validation, compliance, and SOX control.<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with payroll operations, tax regulations, and labor laws in Japan, India, Philippines, and Thailand.<\/li>\n<li>Proven ability to handle multiple payroll entities with diverse requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Strong organizational, time management, and attention-to-detail skills.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent verbal and written communication; skilled in handling confidential materials and comfortable asking for clarification.<\/li>\n<li>Adaptable to a fast-paced, culturally diverse environment; effective under pressure and tight deadlines.<\/li>\n<li>Team player with strong stakeholder management.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Manage your job search in the right direction by applying via the links below.
