You will develop software in a product &amp; platform subdomain, contribute to engineering quality, coach and mentor other software engineers, and demonstrate passion for your craft through user centric, reliable, and scalable solutions.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key accountabilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Plan &amp; lead technical initiatives within the team, providing clarity and support for other software engineers to deliver solutions that are fit for purpose.<\/li>\n<li>Build, test, deploy, and maintain quality software from development to production, with clean, secure, and well-tested code that adheres to best current practices.<\/li>\n<li>Champion a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence, ensuring systems are built and run in compliant, efficient, reliable, and resilient manner.<\/li>\n<li>Role model effective incident management &amp; resolution through a combination of deep domain expertise and technical troubleshooting ability.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate effectively and empathetically with peers and stakeholders, providing space for diverse opinions and feedback.<\/li>\n<li>Foster a positive team environment, contributing to the safety, work-life balance, and wellbeing of team members.<\/li>\n<li>Mentor new hires and support the growth of team members.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications : Essential skills &amp; experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Modern engineering practice: Proficiency in building and maintaining software in a build-run team context using two or more modern programming languages. Experience with data modelling, design patterns, and uplifting team engineering culture.<\/li>\n<li>Cloud &amp; distributed computing: Proficiency in design considerations and failure scenarios for distributed computing. Experience with microservice architectures that mix synchronous (HTTP server) and asynchronous (background worker) components in a cloud environment.<\/li>\n<li>AWS technologies: Experience in a business-critical environment using AWS services, including DynamoDB, ECS (Fargate), Lambda, RDS (Aurora PostgreSQL), SNS, and SQS.<\/li>\n<li>CI\/CD &amp; observability: Demonstrated ability to apply and improve continuous integration &amp; continuous delivery (CI\/CD) practices.
