Join a fintech startup with over $500M in funding and 3M users and build out their US Security function from scratch!

About the role

We are growing our security and tech ops team in New York. As an early employee, you will be directly in charge of designing and building security projects and practices to help a developing, worldwide fintech organization. Working intimately with your partners in Germany and Spain you will concentrate primarily on issues for our impending U.S. launch – specifically, the oversight of our InfoSec compliance programs. We aim to build best practices that apply to every worldwide area and set a trend for an extraordinary security posture throughout our future worldwide development.

What You’ll Be Doing

Dynamic and automated security testing – to secure our inward and outside applications and services. Use system engineering to architect and create solutions that broaden the best in class for cloud-native infrastructure. Build tooling to automate and integrate security as a major aspect of our SDLC. Support and train your associates in the engineering team on rising dangers and latest best practices for creating secure microservices.

Design, Build, and Implement Security Programs – building a solid, local InfoSec program is fundamental to launching in the U.S. You will partake in the oversight and execution of these projects, for example, conducting 3rd party due diligence to evaluate security risks. In case of an incident, you’ll direct forensics to sort out the probability and extent of a breach. You’ll also perform frequent trainings, reviews, and surveys as maintained by our compliance standards

Technical Operations – You’ll lay the basis for our office networks, asset inventory, and software access management. As the US delegate for TechOps, you’ll work with the people group in the onboarding (and potential offboarding) of staff equipment and software access.

Software and Systems Engineering – as a key individual of the engineering organization, you will guide the backend groups on security-first software and systems development practices. During regular code reviews, your input with an eye towards security design and thread modelling will catch potential defects before they are released into production. Our knowledge of secure microservice architectures is consistently enhanced by your proactive research into new attack vectors
