{"id":69417,"date":"2018-02-02T09:26:12","date_gmt":"2018-02-02T09:26:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/welovesalt.com\/jobs\/%wpbb_job_industry%\/data-engineer-3\/"},"modified":"2018-04-03T12:24:47","modified_gmt":"2018-04-03T11:24:47","slug":"data-engineer-3","status":"archive","type":"wpbb_job","link":"https:\/\/welovesalt.com\/jobs\/all-industries\/data-engineer-3\/","title":{"rendered":"Data Engineer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Lead Big Data Engineer (Python, Java, R, Scala, Spark, Linux, SQL)<\/p>\n<p>Telecoms &#8211; London<\/p>\n<p>Competitive Salary +Bonus+Benefits+Package<\/p>\n<p>Python, Java, R, Scala, Spark, Linux, SQL, Schema, Kimball, NoSQL, SAS, Unix, Data Visualisation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Salt are proud to announce a great partnership with a huge Telecoms maestro, who urgently seek a driven, motivated and experienced <strong>Lead Big Data Engineer (Python, Java, R, Scala, Spark, Linux, SQL) <\/strong>to join their ambitious, successful and fast-paced office in the heart of Greater London. <\/p>\n<p>As the ideal <strong>Lead Big Data Engineer (Python, Java, R, Scala, Spark, Linux, SQL) <\/strong>who will be reporting in to the Head of Data, you will be leading the design and development of analytical platforms to enable integration, analysis, and insight of large DataSets, as well as managing reusable data assets and products.<\/p>\n<p>The successful <strong>Lead Big Data Engineer (Python, Java, R, Scala, Spark, Linux, SQL) <\/strong>will be one who shows, leadership of the highest form, commercial awareness and technical hands on ability as well as managing very high level Stakeholders.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the softer skills, the main technical requirements of the <strong>Lead Big Data Engineer (Python, Java, R, Scala, Spark, Linux, SQL) <\/strong>are as follows:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Technical:<\/strong> (<em>Recommended maximum 6-10):<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Data Architecture: design and delivery of conceptual, logical and physical data architecture at an enterprise or programme-wide level.<\/li>\n<li>Advanced Data Modelling and Analysis: Able to query, prepare and analyse data, using both basic statistical and advanced statistical measures and methods. Familiarity with data modelling (e.g. Star Schema, Kimball etc) is ideal.<\/li>\n<li>Experience developing and analysing both SQL and NoSQL databases.<\/li>\n<li>Programming &amp; Advanced Computing: Skilled at object oriented or functional programming. Ideally extensive experience in SAS, but also experience in other languages,such as Python, Java, R, Scala, Spark.
