Product Owner (Checkout & Fulfilment)

My client is a leading retailer in SA and they are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Owner to join the growing dynamic team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in retail or ecommerce and a proven track record of building and developing successful checkout and fulfilment solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of our retail/ecommerce checkout and fulfilment products and lead product development from conception to launch
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including UX/UI designers, developers, marketing, and customer service teams to identify new features and enhancements
• Define and prioritize product requirements and features based on market analysis, customer feedback, and business objectives
• Develop and maintain timelines, product roadmaps, and project plans to ensure timely delivery of high-quality releases
• Lead the product team, consisting of scrum master, business analyst, designer, tech leads, developers, and testers, to deliver against product roadmap.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and measure success metrics and regularly report on product performance
• Work with the UX designers and Architecture team to conceive of solutions and work with Value Architect to determine the value and return on investment of these initiatives.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field
• 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role
• Strong experience in ecommerce/retail industry and building/developing successful checkout and fulfilment solutions
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect and interpret data to make data-driven decisions
• Agile/Scrum experience preferred
