The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the financial operations of the company, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing strategic insights to support business decisions.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including monthly management accounts and year-end financials.<\/li>\n<li>Manage the full accounting function, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable.Conduct monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, debtors, and creditors.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare VAT, PAYE, and other statutory returns in compliance with local regulations.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, and monitor financial performance against budgets.<\/li>\n<li>Provide timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis to management for decision-making purposes.<\/li>\n<li>Oversee payroll processing and ensure accurate submissions to relevant authorities.<\/li>\n<li>Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with external auditors and ensure all audit requirements are met.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in cash flow management and recommend financial strategies for business improvement.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with company policies, tax laws, and accounting standards.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Qualifications and Experience:<\/p>\n<p>*Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.<\/p>\n<p>*Completed articles (SAIPA, SAICA, or CIMA).<\/p>\n<p>*Minimum of 2-3 years of post-articles experience in a similar role.<\/p>\n<p>*Experience in the food or manufacturing sector will be advantageous.<\/p>\n<p>*Strong understanding of financial principles, tax laws, and statutory requirements.<\/p>\n<p>*Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Pastel, or similar systems).<\/p>\n<p>*Advanced MS Excel skills.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Key Skills:<\/p>\n<p>*Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.<\/p>\n<p>*Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.<\/p>\n<p>*Ability to work independently and as part of a team.<\/p>\n<p>*Good communication and interpersonal skills.<\/p>\n<p>*Ability to manage deadlines and work under pressure.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Benefits:<\/p>\n<p>*Competitive salary package.<\/p>\n<p>*Opportunities for career growth and development.<\/p>\n<p>*Work in a fast-paced and supportive environment.<\/p>\n<p>Salt is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/counter.adcourier.com\/SEJvc2hvZmYuNzQ1NTIuNTIwOEBzYWx0LmFwbGl0cmFrLmNvbQ.gif\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Accountant Location: Klerksdorp, North West Job Overview: A dynamic and growing company in Klerksdorp is seeking a qualified Accountant with completed articles (SAIPA, SAICA, or CIMA).
