A dynamic and growing company in Klerksdorp is seeking a qualified Accountant with completed articles (SAIPA, SAICA, or CIMA). The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the financial operations of the company, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing strategic insights to support business decisions.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
*Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including monthly management accounts and year-end financials.<\/p>\n
*Manage the full accounting function, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable.<\/p>\n
*Conduct monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, debtors, and creditors.<\/p>\n
*Prepare VAT, PAYE, and other statutory returns in compliance with local regulations.<\/p>\n
*Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, and monitor financial performance against budgets.<\/p>\n
*Provide timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis to management for decision-making purposes.<\/p>\n
*Oversee payroll processing and ensure accurate submissions to relevant authorities.<\/p>\n
*Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.<\/p>\n
*Liaise with external auditors and ensure all audit requirements are met.<\/p>\n
*Assist in cash flow management and recommend financial strategies for business improvement.<\/p>\n
*Ensure compliance with company policies, tax laws, and accounting standards.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Experience:<\/p>\n
*Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.<\/p>\n
*Completed articles (SAIPA, SAICA, or CIMA).<\/p>\n
*Minimum of 2-3 years of post-articles experience in a similar role.<\/p>\n
*Experience in the food or manufacturing sector will be advantageous.<\/p>\n
*Strong understanding of financial principles, tax laws, and statutory requirements.<\/p>\n
*Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Pastel, or similar systems).<\/p>\n
*Advanced MS Excel skills.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
