Reporting to the Financial Manager\/CFO, this role is focused on ensuring strong internal controls, accurate financial reporting, and effective risk management.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare monthly management accounts, reconciliations, variance analysis, and trial balance reviews.<\/li>\n<li>Manage cash flow projections and compliance with VAT, tax, and SARS submissions (EMP201, VAT201, EMP501, provisional and annual tax returns).<\/li>\n<li>Oversee financial processes, ensuring adherence to internal controls and best practices.<\/li>\n<li>Manage forex exposure, interest rate risk, and credit control processes.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain and reconcile the Fixed Asset Register.<\/li>\n<li>Lead audit preparations and ensure financial compliance.<\/li>\n<li>Supervise the Bookkeeper and Office Admin Clerk to ensure accurate and timely financial data.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>5-10 years of experience in a similar role.<\/li>\n<li>Completed SAIPA (preferred) or SAICA articles, plus at least three years of post-article experience.<\/li>\n<li>Strong internal control and financial analysis experience.<\/li>\n<li>Advanced Excel skills, including reconciliations and data analysis.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with VAT, tax, SARS submissions, and compliance.<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of forex, risk management, and interest rate risk.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Salt is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/counter.adcourier.com\/ZHZOaWVrZXJrLjYwNzcyLjUyMDhAc2FsdC5hcGxpdHJhay5jb20.gif\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our client, a rapidly growing distribution company, is looking for a Financial Accountant to join their team.
