This is your chance to lead complex projects, mentor the next generation of developers, and leave your mark on products used daily by customers and clients alike.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>What you&#8217;ll do<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead the design, implementation, and delivery of advanced features and systems.<\/li>\n<li>Partner with architects and peers to drive system design and integration.<\/li>\n<li>Champion best practices in code quality, security, and performance.<\/li>\n<li>Mentor and support junior and intermediate engineers.<\/li>\n<li>Drive operational excellence, incident resolution, and long-term reliability.<\/li>\n<li>Set the standard for code reviews and documentation across the team.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What we&#8217;re looking for<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>5-8 years of professional software engineering experience, with 3+ years in a senior or lead role.<\/li>\n<li>Strong expertise in <strong>C#, SQL, AWS<\/strong> (Lambda, ECS, EC2, S3, RDS, etc.).<\/li>\n<li>Solid experience with <strong>APIs, distributed systems, microservices, and CI\/CD pipelines<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Bonus skills: Golang, Node.js, Docker, RabbitMQ, Redis.<\/li>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Computer Science\/Engineering, or equivalent experience.<\/li>\n<li>Proven background in the <strong>fintech or financial services domains<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>You are<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A technical leader who inspires by example.<\/li>\n<li>A problem solver with strong analytical and architectural skills.<\/li>\n<li>Adaptable, calm under pressure, and collaborative across teams.<\/li>\n<li>Passionate about mentoring and growing others.<\/li>\n<li>Curious, innovative, and driven to deliver impact.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Salt is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/counter.adcourier.com\/dHJpeC43NDM3MC41MjA4QHNhbHQuYXBsaXRyYWsuY29t.gif\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We&#8217;re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join a fast-growing South African fintech shaping the future.
