Intermediate Software Engineer – C#, SQL, AWS<\/strong><\/p>\n

I’m currently assisting my client, a leading South African fintech innovator, in their search for an Intermediate Software Engineer<\/strong> to join their dynamic and collaborative development team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 2-5 years’ experience in software engineering<\/strong> who thrives on solving complex problems, building scalable systems, and is eager to grow into a senior-level role.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

What you’ll do:<\/h3>\n
    \n
  • Translate business requirements into robust, scalable technical solutions.<\/li>\n
  • Design, develop, and deploy high-quality features with minimal supervision.<\/li>\n
  • Take ownership of services, APIs, or modules, ensuring performance and maintainability.<\/li>\n
  • Write clean, testable, and efficient code with strong unit and integration test coverage.<\/li>\n
  • Collaborate with peers through code reviews, technical discussions, and agile ceremonies.<\/li>\n
  • Support deployments, release validation, and monitoring of system health.<\/li>\n
  • Document technical decisions, system designs, and service communication flows.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    What we’re looking for:<\/h3>\n

    ✅ 2-5 years’ professional software engineering experience<\/strong><\/p>\n

    ✅ Degree in Computer Science\/Engineering or relevant work experience<\/p>\n

    ✅ Strong experience in C#, SQL, and AWS<\/strong><\/p>\n

    ✅ Exposure to JavaScript\/TypeScript<\/strong> (Golang\/Node.js a plus)<\/p>\n

    ✅ Knowledge of APIs, integration, and microservices architecture<\/p>\n

    ✅ Familiarity with databases (MSSQL, MySQL, Postgres, Redis)<\/p>\n

    ✅ Experience with Git, Docker, Postman, RabbitMQ, CI\/CD pipelines<\/p>\n

    ✅ Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

    Nice to have:<\/h3>\n
      \n
    • Fintech or payments industry experience<\/li>\n
    • Familiarity with serverless architectures and distributed systems<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
