Team Lead – Software Engineering (C#, SQL, AWS)<\/strong><\/p>\n

I’m currently assisting my client, a pioneering fintech innovator, in their search for an experienced Software Engineering Team Lead<\/strong>. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a leadership role where you’ll balance technical delivery with people development-helping build scalable, secure, and innovative payment solutions that make a real impact.<\/p>\n

What you’ll do:<\/h3>\n
    \n
  • Lead and guide a team of software engineers, driving delivery speed, quality, and operational stability.<\/li>\n
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies (planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) and ensure team alignment to roadmap goals.<\/li>\n
  • Mentor and coach engineers through feedback, performance development, and goal-setting.<\/li>\n
  • Remove blockers, manage trade-offs, and maintain focus on reliable delivery.<\/li>\n
  • Advocate for best practices in coding, testing, deployment, and documentation.<\/li>\n
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align technical delivery with business priorities.<\/li>\n
  • Provide technical guidance on architecture and pragmatic solutions, balancing delivery with long-term sustainability.<\/li>\n
  • Champion a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous learning.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    What we’re looking for:<\/h3>\n

    ✅ 5-8 years’ professional software engineering experience<\/strong><\/p>\n

    ✅ At least 3 years in a senior or team lead capacity<\/strong> with proven leadership responsibilities<\/p>\n

    ✅ Degree in Computer Science\/Engineering or equivalent work experience<\/p>\n

    ✅ Strong technical foundation in C#, SQL, and AWS<\/strong><\/p>\n

    ✅ Experience designing and delivering large-scale systems in production<\/strong><\/p>\n

    ✅ Proficiency in APIs, integrations, microservices, and distributed systems<\/strong><\/p>\n

    ✅ Skilled in Git, Docker, RabbitMQ, Postman, and CI\/CD pipelines<\/p>\n

    ✅ Excellent communication, prioritisation, and conflict resolution skills<\/p>\n

    ✅ Fintech or payments industry experience (essential)<\/p>\n

    Nice to have:<\/h3>\n

    • Exposure to Golang or Node.js<\/li>\n
    • Strategic thinking ability to align technical and business goals<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
