You will be required to manage a team of senior property underwriters and develop underwriting skills within the business. The role will report to the Head: Commercial Underwriting.<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure the business&#8217;s Commercial Property Portfolio achieves profit and growth targets within risk appetite<\/li>\n<li>Manage a team of senior property underwriters and develop underwriting skills within the business<\/li>\n<li>Overall responsibility for the business&#8217;s Commercial property portfolio with regards to product, rate and rule<\/li>\n<li>Create appropriate underwriting rules to balance customer&#8217;s needs with the business risk appetite<\/li>\n<li>Research and development of new Commercial insurance covers and products<\/li>\n<li>Develop rating tools\/solutions for business partners<\/li>\n<li>Manage the company&#8217;s surveying function and property underwriting team<\/li>\n<li>Interact and assist Brokers and Partners as needed with regards to Property Underwriting queries<\/li>\n<li>Provide specific support to our Segment Solutions teams<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications and Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s degree or relevant insurance related diploma<\/li>\n<li>At least 10 years experience within a Commercial Underwriting environment<\/li>\n<li>Proven track record of at least 5 years management of a Specialist Underwriting team<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of the relevant legislation and building regulations<\/li>\n<li>Advanced computer literacy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Is the role speaking your language?
