{"id":74616,"date":"2023-08-29T13:25:44","date_gmt":"2023-08-29T12:25:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/welovesalt.com\/za\/jobs\/%wpbb_job_industry%\/business-analyst\/"},"modified":"2023-10-13T14:08:44","modified_gmt":"2023-10-13T13:08:44","slug":"business-analyst-74616","status":"archive","type":"wpbb_job","link":"https:\/\/welovesalt.com\/za\/jobs\/technology\/business-analyst-74616","title":{"rendered":"Business Analyst"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>IT Business Analyst<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our client has consistently been ranked as the No.1 public university in Africa and is currently ranked within the top 12% of universities internationally, and they are currently seeking to appoint an IT Business Analysts on a 2,5 Year full time, fixed-term contract basis.<\/p>\n<p>The ideal candidates will have a good blend of analytical, communication, and technical skills, along with proven track records of successful project delivery and team collaboration. <\/p>\n<p>Key Performance Areas (KPA&#8217;s) include: <\/p>\n<p>* Stakeholder engagement; information gathering \/ requirements elicitation; assisting with requirements documentation; evaluation of existing systems and processes to identify gaps for process improvement; assisting with the design and documentation of business processes, workflows and system requirements; assisting with solution design; support the quality assurance \/ testing process by creating test cases, conducting tests, documenting results and assisting with user acceptance testing; assisting with change management; providing BA assistance through the project lifecycle and SDLC.<\/p>\n<p>Requirements for the job: <\/p>\n<p>* An Information Technology, Information Systems or related Business qualification at a minimum NQF-6 level (i.e. Diploma or Advanced Certificate) PLUS at least 3 years of demonstrated IT Business Analysis experience in IT projects<\/p>\n<p>* Proficiency in documenting business requirements, functional specifications, and process flows.<\/p>\n<p>* Familiarity with business analysis methodologies, tools, and techniques.<\/p>\n<p>* A good understanding of project management and the software development lifecycle.<\/p>\n<p>* Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.<\/p>\n<p><em>The following are advantageous but not essential: <\/em><\/p>\n<p>* Experience in South Africa&#8217;s public Higher Education sector;<\/p>\n<p>* An industry-recognised certification in Business Analysis<\/p>\n<p>* An industry-recognised certification in Project Management.<\/p>\n<p>Salt is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/counter.adcourier.com\/bWFydG1hbi45ODIwMC41MjA4QHNhbHQuYXBsaXRyYWsuY29t.gif\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>IT Business Analyst Our client has consistently been ranked as the No.1 public university in Africa and is currently ranked within the top 12% of universities internationally, and they are currently seeking to appoint an IT Business Analysts on a 2,5 Year full time, fixed-term contract basis.
