ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a pivotal leadership opportunity to drive a rolling three-year enterprise performance and assurance programme across a complex, regulated infrastructure group. You’ll work at the intersection of strategy, transformation, and assurance, partnering with senior leaders to embed a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and strategic value creation.

You’ll lead initiatives that go beyond compliance, focusing on performance-led assurance, business model transformation, and cross-functional uplift aligned to the overall organisational strategy.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading a high-impact, enterprise-wide performance and assurance programme
  • Partnering with executives to identify and deliver strategic improvements
  • Managing external consultants and ensuring quality, fit-for-purpose outputs
  • Reporting to board-level committees and shaping enterprise priorities
  • Championing a shift from compliance to performance-led assurance
  • Navigating a dynamic sector with curiosity, innovation, and influence

ABOUT YOU

You’re a seasoned enterprise leader with a background in strategic performance uplift, business transformation, or operational excellence in complex, regulated environments. You bring a systems-thinking mindset, strong stakeholder influence, and a passion for driving measurable impact across business units.

What you’ll need to bring:

  • Proven experience leading enterprise performance or transformation programmes in infrastructure, utilities, telco, or similar sectors
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to challenge existing practices
  • Experience working across business units to embed strategic change
  • Familiarity with assurance frameworks that go beyond compliance
  • Ability to translate strategic goals into operational improvements
