My client is on the hunt for an experienced and qualified Health and Safety Advisor who’s keen to work in the Engineering sector. This role is perfect for someone based in Auckland who’s looking to trade the city buzz for the coastal charm of Whangarei. Your Key Responsibilities:

• Champion HSE policies and ensure their effective implementation.
• Investigate incidents and near misses, driving corrective actions to improve safety outcomes.
• Conduct risk assessments and recommend preventive measures.
• Oversee emergency response plans and fire prevention activities.
• Keep compliance sharp by monitoring NZ regulations, standards, and codes of practice.
• Develop training plans, induction processes, and maintain training records to ensure our team is safety-savvy.

What You Bring to the Table:

• A qualification in Health and Safety or related field (preferred).
• NZ Certificate in Workplace Health and Safety Practice (Level 4) is a bonus.
• Unit Standard 4098 certification to assess performance effectively.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of NZ H&S legislative requirements and hazard identification.
• Experience in Engineering, Industrial or Manufacturing
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
