HVAC Technician – Christchurch

Our client is a privately owned HVAC business that is growing at a rapid pace. A well organised business that prides itself on its client base and culture with some long-term clients who present unique projects.

The Role

In this position, you will work as part of a team analysing and measuring the effectiveness of HVAC in largely commercial environments. Working as part of a team you will be hands on testing and have the ability to provide detailed reports on your findings.

In this role, you will:

  • Test, adjust, balance, and troubleshoot building air conditioning systems.
  • Ensure HVAC systems are optimised for thermal comfort and operational efficiency.
  • Work collaboratively to meet project specifications and deadlines.
  • Produce detailed commissioning reports for clients.
  • Take ownership for Health and Safety and adhere to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the commissioning of HVAC air and water systems.
  • Contribute to the wider team and business culture in a positive manner.
  • Managing client’s expectation and that of key stakeholders

About You:

To excel in this role, you’ll need:

  • A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Excellent written communication skills and proficiency in Excel and Word.
  • Strong organisational skills and adaptability.
  • A clean, full driver’s license.
  • Availability to work occasionally outside Christchurch and standard business hours.
