Salt is proud to be partnering with a highly respected organisation in the industrial sector to recruit a Logistics Coordinator.

About the Role

You will be assisting the Team Lead in logistics coordination and administration work.

  • 3 months temporary assignment, potential to perm
  • Mt Wellington
  • Immediate start

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage MRP stock replenishment, including GIM parameter reviews and material master data maintenance.
  • Handle direct and indirect purchasing from internal and external vendors.
  • Monitor and follow up on purchase orders, ensuring timely communication and escalation of issues.
  • Oversee return stock and van stock, coordinating returns with stakeholders.
  • Maintain storage bin reports and machine location data to support inventory accuracy.
  • Coordinate with service providers for local, import, and export logistics, including administrative processes.
  • Manage transport damage claims (local and overseas).
  • Support cycle counts and annual stocktakes at the central warehouse.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in logistics coordination, ideally within an end-user or fast-paced operational environment. Ability to hit the ground running is essential.-
  • Solid understanding of global supply chain operations, with practical experience in international import and export processes considered a strong advantage.
  • Proficiency with SAP MRP systems is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and coordinate with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated proactive approach, with the ability to anticipate needs and take initiative.
  • Strong sense of dedication and ownership, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
