Our client offers shipping and total logistics solutions for customers wanting to trade between New Zealand and the Pacific Islands, Australia, and the Islands or from Asia, Europe and North and South America to the South Pacific. They value their staff and are passionate about helping you develop your career. They are presently based near Auckland airport but relocating to lovely offices in Parnell.

About the roles

This diverse role as a Transhipment Coordinator is busy and varied. Joining this small and exceptionally busy team will allow you to make an immediate impact, develop your skills within sea freight logistics and be part of the success story as this company grows. Your responsibilities will include:

· Managing transhipment cargo flows from origin to destination

· Coordinating and managing bookings updating rates and manifests for the trades

· Managing transhipment port shuttle moves, customs clearance and local transport when required

· Building and maintaining strong relationships whilst delivering exceptional customer service

· Providing support and guidance on Customs and MPI requirements

· Monitoring shipments and ensure cost effective delivery

· Creating accurate documentation and ensuring deadlines are met

About you

You will be a knowledgeable and experienced coordinator who loves all things logistics and who is calm under pressure. You will also have strong interpersonal and communication skills and a ‘can-do’ attitude. In addition, our ideal candidate will have

· Previous working in shipping / freight experience however open to strong coordinators

· High level of attention to detail

· An enjoyment for systematic process orientated work

· Knowledge of Cargo Wise an advantage but not essential

· Proactive approach in managing a busy workload and delivering accurate work on tight deadlines.
