The role:

Due to recent growth in our client’s capabilities in certain verticals, we are currently in need of several Senior Engineering contracts.

We’re seeking a Senior Java Data Engineer with a strong Java, SQL and ideally Python background for one of our large SaaS clients. Experience with AWS, dbt, Snowflake, and PostgreSQL would be also ideal. Join a high-performing team shaping the future of our next-gen data platform. We are looking for strong coding skills and technical design experience of building a data volume data pipeline.

We’re after a self-driven Senior Java Engineer who thrives in ambiguity, excels at designing scalable systems from scratch, and can take ownership of solutions end-to-end. You’ll build and optimise robust stream processing jobs using Flink (or Spark) and backend services in Java and Go, with full responsibility across CI/CD, infrastructure (Kubernetes, Terraform), and testing. You’ll be comfortable working across technologies and collaborating remotely with a distributed team. Solid experience with event stream processing and backend development in Java, Go, and SQL is essential. Familiarity with Python, GitHub Actions, and control plane concepts is a plus.

The ideal candidate:

• Ideally Lead developers/ Senior Contract developers with below mentioned skillsets:

Senior/Lead Engineer level with expertise in

– Java (Essential)

– Go (Preferred with Java)

– SQL (Essential)

– Experience with any other data skillsets like Python, DBT, Snowflakes. (Essential, Python preferred)

– AWS (Important)

– Flink/Spark (Good to have)

– PostgreSQL (Good to have)

– CICD / Github Actions (Good to have)

– Docker/ Kubernetes/ Terraform (Good to have)

– Experience with Even Stream processing (Good to have)

– Experience with Control plane concepts (Good to have)

– Hands on in coding and experience of working with complex projects for blue chip brands. (preferred)

Other good to have skills:

– Work collaboratively with teams and other stakeholders

– Communication skills (clear comms with team, stakeholders)

– Documentation
