Who we are looking for:

As a Data Engineer with a software development background, you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and maintaining our data infrastructure and systems. Your expertise in software development will be crucial in implementing efficient and scalable data pipelines, data integration processes, and analytics solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and software engineers, to ensure seamless data flow and support the organization’s data-driven initiatives.

What you will do:

* Design, develop, and deploy robust data pipelines and ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.

* Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into scalable data models and architectures.

* Implement data quality checks and ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.

* Optimize and tune database queries for performance and efficiency.

* Develop and maintain data governance and security standards.

* Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends in data engineering and software development.

What you will have:

* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

* Proven experience as a Data Engineer with a strong software background.

* Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.

* Solid understanding of database concepts, data modeling, CI/CD pipelines and SQL.

* Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).

* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex data challenges.

* Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

* Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques is a plus.
