Freelance Footwear Designer – Sneakers/ Streetwear | Jan ’21 Start | Remote | Up to £400p/d | Global Fashion Brand

My client is one of the worlds largest fashion companies – a heritage brand that we’ve all had on our heads, bodies or feet at some point in our lives. They’re looking for a freelance footwear desinger to join their international team on a remote basis for the first quarter of 2021, with a view to extend this resource further into the year once the initial project is delivered on. You’ll be part of a team that is working on new designs as well as looking at their existing catalogue and how it can be improved – from new colourways and collaborations with other designers, to sourcing new, sustainable materials.

About the role:

• You’ll be applying your knowledge of colour and materials to footwear design.
• You’ll be creating CADs and material drawings of new designs, plus updated existing designs.
• You’ll be working with the further marketing team to put together moodboards and techpacks, then uploading these to the brands global database.Create technical sheets
• You’ll be working with an international team, so will be presenting your files digitally and taking feedback via email and phone

About you:

• You’ll ideally have at least 2 years experience in footwear design using Illustrator, Photoshop and AutoCAD.
• You’re a highly creative individual, with good knowledge of the sneaker and streetwear market.
• You’re fluent in English to a business level – you must be able to interact with all stakeholders
• Prior experience with a major streetwear/ fashion (not performance) brands is ideal, e.g Adidas, Nike, Axel Arigato, The North Face, Supreme
