Senior Storage Expert (EMC VMAX3, VNXe, ECS, PowerMAX 8K) – Banking Client – Brussels

Rate: €600 – €700

Duration: 1 year contract

Centralized and Virtualisation Infrastructure Services deliver and support reliable “Infrastructure-as-a-Service” experience to its platforms, office and business applications clients in the Mainframe, Tandem, Storage, Swift, Converged infrastructure and Hyper-Converged infrastructure domains.

The Virtualisation and Cloud Infrastructure Services teams are committed to bring the best computing experience to our internal clients (platforms, office and business applications) via innovative virtualisation services through its Legacy, Converged and Hyper-Converged infrastructures.

We also aim to ease the adoption and implementation of the Cloud Strategy.

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Senior Storage Expert, your role will be:

• You help IT in setting up new storage controllers (DELL EMC PowerMax)
• Support the following infrastructures:
• Backup and Archive Hardware/Software: Backup products: Networker, DataDomain and Cohesity
• Storage Controllers: EMC VMAX3, VNXe, ECS, PowerMAX 8K
• You support production integration and change management
• You monitor the system health and partner with other IT teams and vendors to respond promptly to incidents and alerts
• You provide on-call support during off hours
• You optimize your work through automation and scripting (design, implementation, integration with orchestration and automation tools)
• You document policies and procedures

Please note this role is based in Brussels and includes Watch Duty on Call support outside business hours from 18:00 till 8:00, assigned on a rotational basis (1-2 times per week).

Required Qualifications:

• Expert knowledge in EMC Dell Storage technology (minimum 5 years)
• You have an analytical and a problem-solving mindset
• You demonstrate your ability to learn and analyse new technologies and related process to provide the best orchestrated and automated solution
• Experience in automation using Python, PowerShell, SQL … is a benefit
• You are open-minded and able to think out of the box
• You are resistant to stress
