Salt are recruiting multiple Staff Software Engineers on behalf of a well-loved historic brand, building a digital platform that serves millions of customers and thousands of colleagues.

They have 100+ in the software engineering team, with plans to hire 60 more – so there’s plenty of opportunity here to progress into more senior positions in time.
As a Staff Software Engineer you will be leading the build, deployment and operational support of high-quality, reliable software running at scale in the cloud – working with the wider technology organisation & cross-functional engineering forums to change the big picture of their platforms.
They are looking for people who have:
- A strong software engineering background with experience specifically with Java, SpringBoot, Kubernetes, Docker and a modern cloud provider (Azure/AWS/GCP)
- An understanding of DevOps, GitOps and Continuous Delivery
- A proven track record in mentoring and influencing others to raise the bar.
- Bonus points for any experience with OAuth or OpenID Connect but this certainly isn’t essential.
They are paying up to £105,000 for Staff Software Engineers + £5,000 car allowance, 20-40% bonuses and other benefits.
They offer remote/flexible working options but would like to see you in their London HQ at least twice a month.
