As the Lead UX/UI Manager, you will lead the department efforts to revolutionize digital banking experience by leading a dynamic team dedicated to crafting impeccable user experiences and interfaces. This pivotal role not only focuses on overseeing the design process from conception to execution but also on driving strategic initiatives that meld business objectives with user-centric design principles.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Development:

  • Mentor and lead a diverse team of UX/UI designers and researchers, promoting a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of design projects, ensuring high standards of quality and cohesion across all digital touchpoints.
  • Champion a collaborative culture that encourages team engagement and the exchange of creative ideas.

Strategic Design Vision:

  • Formulate and execute a clear UX/UI vision that aligns with our strategic goals, enhancing customer satisfaction and engagement.
  • Leverage insights from user research, analytics, and market trends to inform and adjust design strategies effectively.
  • Drive the evolution of our design methodologies to maintain and extend our market leadership.

Execution & Innovation:

  • Develop and refine user personas, journey maps, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals.
  • Ensure all designs adhere to best practices in usability and accessibility while pushing the boundaries of web and mobile experiences.
  • Partner with engineering teams to ensure designs are transformed into functional and seamless user experiences.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Act as a UX/UI advocate and liaise closely with Product Management, Product Owners, technical teams , IT, and Marketing to ensure a unified and strategic approach to project delivery.
  • Articulate design decisions to a range of stakeholders through compelling presentations and strategic dialogue.
  • Solicit and integrate feedback from a cross-departmental team to refine user interfaces.

Trend Analysis & Learning:

  • Stay at the forefront of UX/UI trends, technologies, and tools, integrating cutting-edge practices and technologies into our workflow.
  • Encourage and facilitate continuous learning and development within the team, promoting certification and training opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, HCI, or related field.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing a UX/UI team within a technology-driven environment.
  • Proficient with a variety of design tools (Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, etc.) and familiar with front-end coding (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
  • A portfolio that reflects a deep understanding of user-centered design, with examples of leading significant projects.
  • Exceptional communication and collaborative skills, with a proven track record of successful stakeholder management.

Must-have Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of Agile/Scrum practices.
  • Expertise in conducting sophisticated user research and translating its findings into impactful design decisions.
