Senior Data Scientist

My client are a Hedge-Fund start up. This is a very exciting opportunity to be part of the UAE’s 1st Hedge Fund.

My client are hiring a Data Scientist to build and maintain data science application for our Hedge Fund project. The Senior Data Scientist will take care of building the data science engine including, data analysis, NLP, knowledge graph and other data science applications.

Key responsibilities:

• Work on investment research, predictive modelling, and quantitative research for a specific industry setting.
• Use a variety of alternative data sets to draw insights, create predictions and uncover new investment strategies.
• Develop specific granular data sets, exploring economic factors that can be used as key insights.
• Assist in the acquisition of new data sets

Qualifications:

• MS/PhD in computer science, mathematics, statistics, economics, or a similar quantitative field.
• 3+ years’ experience in data science or quantitative research.
• Experience with statistical methods, data science models, and predictions.
• Strong experience with data science modelling and feature engineering.
• Advanced use of Python, Spark, and SQL.

You MUST have experience of working for a Hedge Fund.
