Senior SQL Server Database Architect & Performance Manager

Position Summary:

You will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical SQL Server RDBMS systems. This will ensure the availability and consistent performance of corporate applications.

You will oversee the development and sustainment of the Data Warehouse, ensuring its operational readiness-including security, health, and performance. Executing data loads and performing data modelling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems.
• Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
• Apply data modelling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations.
• Independently analyse, solve, and correct issues in real-time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
• Strong expertise in Data Analytics (DA), Data Lake, Data Warehousing (DWH), and Machine Learning (ML).

Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in MS SQL Server Administration, Azure Data Lake & Data Analytics.
• Mandatory experience working with a bank or financial institution in a similar capacity.
• Proficiency in Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), utilizing native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
• Extensive experience with backups, restores, and recovery models.
• Deep knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server.

Preferred Qualifications:

• B.Tech
• Microsoft Azure certification
