Event Lead – 6 month Contract

Reporting to the Director of Marketing of Skills Consulting Group and collaborating with the internal stakeholders, content and brand teams, product and sales teams, and external creative and production partners, you will be a seasoned operator with exceptional attention to detail and able to multi-task – which of course goes with the territory for our events candidates!

A large part of the role will be leading the event calendar across the Skills Group – this will include

• 3 – 4 large events (3000+ attendees)
• School career events
• Community events
• Industry events
• Opening of new premises

While the role is Auckland-based, there will be some travel involved – so if you are up for an adventure, flying to other regions for events, this could be the role for you! (time in lieu is available to compensate for time out for events)

The role:

• Develop and manage the event calendar
• Delivery lead for the creative vision for the event
• End-to-end Project Management of events, including getting exhibitors onboarded
• Manage VIPs before and during events
• Developing timelines, action plans, & budgets
• Management of venues, vendors, suppliers, and service providers
• Oversee logistics on the day of the event (including transportation, catering, equipment, and staffing)
• Liaising with internal stakeholders
• Ensure the event is optimised for content and social media
• Manage post-event activities, including final invoices and event evaluation.
