Head of QA role heading the test practice at an innovative start up.

Lead a small but skilled team of test engineers and play the role of Release Manager
Flexible working arrangements with WFH days
Devising and implementing test strategies, including automation, including tool selection
Play a hands-on role as required
Automation framework in place- develop, maintain and enhance this
Provide technical leadership & people and management of a lean & efficient test team
Deal with internal and external stakeholders, working closely with the CTO

The ideal candidate:

Proven experience in QA, with substantial experience in test leadership
Strong manual and automation experience. A background in manual & automation API testing is ideal
Experience working with JavaScript and TypeScript
Strong understanding of CI/CD tools & practices, including setting up/using CI/CD pipelines
Experience setting up and implementing a test automation framework
Comprehensive experience in non-functional & security testing
Strong organization, leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
