Salesforce Architect/Lead (Azure Integration)

• Contract role in a stable, secure environment handling projects which has a deep sense of purpose to transform the society in tertiary education underpinned by Maori culture & values
• Salesforce Lead/Architect ready to take up the challenge of being the Chief Architects eyes and overseeing architects from the vendor side
• Opportunity to start from scratch, to replace legacy tech, define tech architecture & future roadmap for the product

• 6 months contract ; likelihood of extension (3 yr program of work)
• Rate : 130$ to 150$ / hour
• Hamilton based ; open to candidates from Auckland and suburbs ; initial travel few days a week to Hamilton to setup things, once settled, then flexible.

The role:

• The Solution Lead will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of complex solutions across various domains. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent project management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions. This role will handle the Salesforce Implementation project across the organisation and will be the eye of the Chief Architect overseeing the architects from the vendor side.
• Lead the design and development of end-to-end solutions that meet business requirements and align with the company’s strategic goals.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring a clear understanding of business needs.
• Develop solution architectures, including system components, data flows, integration points, and security considerations.
• Oversee the implementation of solutions, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring best practices and standards are followed.
• Conduct regular reviews and assessments of solutions to ensure they meet performance, scalability, and security requirements.
• Identify and mitigate risks and issues related to solution design and implementation.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and incorporate them into solution designs as appropriate.
• Communicate solution designs, progress, and issues to stakeholders and management.
• Continuously improve solution design and implementation processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Your thought leadership and guidance will drive continuous improvement in our processes and how we work towards creating a technology roadmap for the future.
• Focus on mentoring vendor’s architects as and when required

The ideal candidate:

• Either a SALESFORCE LEAD/ARCHITECT/ SENIOR DEVELOPER/SENIOR ADMINISTRATOR having experience with SALESFORCE ARCHITECTURE & AZURE INTEGRATION. (Non Negotiable)
• Solution Lead would be leading a multiple number of squads across a programme of work overall. Hence, need people who have led multiple projects and multiple squads on a bigger scale.
• Candidates working only for a single squad or project will not do.
• Extensive stakeholder management required.
• Experience in the Education domain / Salesforce Education cloud will be a great to have (good to have, not mandatory.)
• IMPORTANT : As a Maori organisation, the candidate should be willing to participate in cultural activities and embrace & open to learning of Maori values, culture & tikanga.
• Location – Hamilton (preferred), but open to Auckland / Tauranga & Hamilton suburbs willing to travel 2/3 days a week to office initially and then once settled, can have more flexibility.
