Senior Network Engineer

We’re seeking an experienced Network Engineer for an initial 6 month contract to help with the critical migration of EVPN-VXLAN networks from Juniper to Cisco infrastructure. In this role, you’ll ensure seamless network functionality, collaborating closely with technical teams and data centres to support this greenfield infrastructure build and migration.

What will you be doing?

• Greenfield build of new infrastructure within a DC
• Overseeing the migration of EVPN-VXLAN architecture from Juniper to Cisco platforms
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues within BGP EVPN control planes
• Work with data centre teams in Auckland and Hamilton to ensure effective deployment
• Racking, stacking and cabling of the new infrastructure
• Configure and manage network security systems (PaloAlto and Fortinet)

What are we after?

• Advanced skills in routing and switching across various platforms
• Strong experience in both Juniper and Cisco environments, with a focus on EVPN-VXLAN
• Solid proficiency with firewall systems, particularly PaloAlto and Fortinet
• Proven background in enterprise network engineering roles
